Aviron is a private technical college and one of the few places in Quebec to offer the DEP in Electricity in both French (5295) and English (5795) — the same 1,800-hour provincial diploma in either language. That makes it a notable option for anglophone and bilingual students who want to train in Montréal without moving to a French-only program.
Aviron runs from two campuses on Royalmount Avenue in Ville Mont-Royal, in the heart of the Montréal metropolitan area and well connected to the city's construction and industrial employers.
Admissions: As a private institution, Aviron charges tuition for the program (unlike the subsidized public CSS centres); eligible students may qualify for Quebec financial aid. Admission follows the standard DEP electricity prerequisites. Confirm current tuition, language-section availability, intake dates and prerequisites with Aviron before applying. (Current as of 2026.)
