Northlands College

About Northlands College

Northlands College offers a pre-employment electrician program in La Ronge, bringing trades training to northern Saskatchewan.

La Ronge and northern Saskatchewan are a mining and resource region with many remote and Indigenous communities, where local delivery is especially valuable.

Admissions: This pre-employment electrician program builds core skills and can earn first-level apprenticeship credit; it doesn't replace the apprenticeship — you still register with SATCC, apprentice under a qualified employer, complete the levels and on-the-job hours, and pass the journeyperson exams (Red Seal). Confirm current tuition, prerequisites and intakes with Northlands College before applying. (Current as of 2026.)
