The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT) is a First Nations-governed post-secondary institute offering a pre-employment electrician program in Saskatoon.
SIIT serves Indigenous students across Saskatchewan from Saskatoon, with a focus on access and support for First Nations learners.
Admissions: This pre-employment electrician program builds core skills and can earn first-level apprenticeship credit; it doesn't replace the apprenticeship — you still register with SATCC, apprentice under a qualified employer, complete the levels and on-the-job hours, and pass the journeyperson exams (Red Seal). Confirm current tuition, prerequisites and intakes with SIIT before applying. (Current as of 2026.)
